The Secular Index is an international watchdog organisation that monitors and ranks countries against a set of secular standards and measures for a more inclusive, peaceful and stable world. The Secular Index defines secularism as separation of religion from the state while adopting the freedom of religious beliefs and practices.

Secular Index believes that secularism is the best theory and practice that have been, so far, recognised to be the most suitable, fair, and rational to control and protect the diversified nature of peoples and their different interests, beliefs, and values as one nation under one constitution or as multiple nations sharing one planet.
